Anthropometric measurements are dimensions which characterize human body dimension, size, and shape. These include bone, muscles, and fat. These measurements entail all the following, waist circumference, waist to hip ratio, waist to height ratio, body mass index, weight, skinfold body fat measurement, and grip strength.

Anthropometric measurements are the most valuable tool determining someone’s body measurements simply because it is very according to using standard measures, which is free from opinion, and it is only rooted in fact. Also, in specific studies, measurements such as waist circumference can reveal risk factors for certain diseases, like heart disease or cancer. It is a reliable tool to have at your disposal to be able to make specific medical determinations.
