Who is closer to the Prime Meridian?

Mike is standing at 72 degrees, 30 minutes East Longitude. Shirley is at 72 degrees, 30 minutes West Longitude.

They are the same distance

Since the Prime Meridian is 0 degrees Longitude, both Mike and Shirley are the same number of degrees and minutes from that line - just in opposite directions!
