Is it true or false regarding journalists?

In recent newspaper articles, journalists have written that the current governor of New York should step down from his position and leave office The journalist can get in trouble for writing bad things about the governor.

This is a case where it actually depends on what has been written about the governor. If it is all speculation, but it’s written as fact, yes, the journalist could get in trouble for this. It’s called slander. However, if there have been investigations into something and the reporter is simply doing his due diligence and looking into those investigations, no, the reporter cannot get in trouble for that; he’s doing his job.

That said, the reporter still has to take care to report the facts in a way that keeps the piece as unbiased as possible. Even if the reporter does his best to keep a piece unbiased, there will still be some personal bias; it’s a fact of life. However, the facts are more important in this case.
