Like any major television show or channel, criticism will always take place. Many people love ESPN, but there are always people who do not like ESPN. Any channel that writes and shares news with the world will be criticized. ESPN has had criticism due to the television programs that have been chosen to include on the schedule as well as the way the news of the sport is covered.
Many people believe that there is bias in regards to the way the sport is covered. Also, ESPN is known for focusing on men’s sports compared to women’s sports. Race and ethnicity have also played a part in the coverage of certain sports or athletes. Maybe over time ESPN will provide equal coverage for the different sports.
