A common symptom of subluxation is pain at the glenohumeral joint.

A common misunderstanding about subluxation is that it is associated with pain. The literature does not support this relationship. Pedretti, L. W., Pendleton, H. M. H., & Schultz-Krohn, W. (2006). Pedrettis occupational therapy: Practice skills for physical dysfunction. St. Louis, Mo: Mosby/Elsevier.
