The correct answer to this question is C, Ischemic colitis. This condition occurs when a reduced amount of blood flow is going to the colon. This reduction in the blood is normally to the narrowing or blockage of arteries. The less blood flow that occurs, the less oxygen that is given to the cells for the digestive system.

Those that suffer from ischemic colitis recall suffering from a lot of pain. The condition can also damage the colon. While any part of it can be affected, the pain normally occurs in the abdomen. Other symptoms can include nausea and blood in the stools.

The best answer is C. Ischemic colitis is a medical condition where the large intestine gets inflamed causing an injury to it because of a low supply of blood and low blood pressure. This is most common to the elderly than the younger population. A patient that has been diagnosed with ischemic colitis might have experiences of abdominal pains that are accompanied by bloody stools.

The abdominal pain is usually felt at the left side and is tender to the touch. Some may even experience rectal bleeding and watery stools as first symptoms. When colonoscopy is used, patchy ulcers are visible in the linings of the intestine also indicates a sign of ischemic colitis.
