Elephants are mostly found in forest, savannas, grassland and swamps. They are found in Sub - Sahara Africa, South east Asia and South Asia. Elephants are found in many countries around the world. Elephants are more in Africa than in Asia. The thick forest and high rain fall in Sub - Saharan Africa guarantees their survival in these regions.

In Africa, countries like Botswana, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Zambia and South Africa have many Elephants in their region. Other African countries where you can find Elephants are: Mozambique, Mauritius, Uganda, Rwanda, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Somalia, Angola, Republic of Congo, Namibia and many others.
In Asia, Elephants can be found in India, Sri Lanka, China, Nepal, Indonesia, Thailand and several others.
