Western trends are not deprecating Indian culture. At least, not the trends I’m aware of. What western trends tend to do is simply to compare what is going on and think that they’re in the right. There’s not hatred based on the fact that they’re Indian. It’s that they do it differently.

That’s what happens in the United States, at least. Overall in Western trends, India is not often brought up in a deprecating fashion. It’s often brought up in conversation to discuss what’s going on in India, and to see what role India plays on the global stage.

The deprecation happens by those who do not see that there are other ways to do things besides what they are used to. Those are far and few between, but voice their opinions loudly.
