Not at all. There are no changes in Indian traditions. We follow our elders rules and our clothing style is the best part of our culture especially for ladies such as lenga choli, sarees, suits.

Disclaimer: I have done my research, but I have not gotten opinions from those living in India. From what I can tell, not much has changed in terms of the political and social views of India. However, more women are going to school. More social issues are being talked about instead of being pushed away.

In a lot of ways, the way Indian government handles social issues has changed from Ghandi’s day, but there’s still a long way to go. There’s still prejudice against inter-religious marriages. There’s still a lot of victim-blaming when it comes to rape and other kinds of crimes where the blame is usually given to the victim.

Conclusion: India needs to continue progressing forward, but they have made progress from the highly racially divided India of the 1970s that I have been taught about.
