There have been quite a few emotional episodes of the “Family Guy” which is a bit odd considering it is mostly considered a comedy. A website called ranker.com lists the top thirteen emotional episodes with the number one episode called “Christmas Guy”. This episode originally aired as number eight during season twelve on December 15, 2013.
In this episode, Stewie is not looking forward to celebrating Christmas because Brian, his dog and best friend, died two episodes earlier after being hit by a car. One reason it is so emotional is because the family’s new dog, Vinny, offers to sacrifice himself so Stewie can use his time machine to trade Vinny’s life for Brian’s.
