Yes, a lot of people feel that alcohol prohibition did not do anything good for the people at that time. Most people considered it to be a waste because their love for alcohol drove them to do crazy things that they would not have done if alcohol was freely being sold.

They started stealing; they started drinking too much than what they can bear. There are so many other things that people could have focused on, but they decided to focus on alcohol prohibition instead. Hopefully, people will not make the same mistake again this time. They can focus on the urgent needs that the world needs right now so that there will be fewer regrets in the future.

Prohibition was certainly a mistake but i doubt if it was the greatest one that the US has made. Some would argue that the decimation of almost a whole race, and reducing the survivors to a vastly inferior existence, is the greatest mistake in terms of the human race and its development.

Currently, the removal of any attempt to reduce carbon emissions or take steps to protect the environment will undoubtedly be seen as the greatest mistake by generations to come, when they face the spoiled planet caused by one of the largest continents on Earth.

It may be one of the biggest failures that people have experienced in the United States. There were so many unexpected effects that happened at that time. For example, people did not realize that their love for alcohol would be more than their wish to have an alcohol-free life. When people’s stash of alcohol at home ran out, they started getting more illegally.

This has made a lot of people live lives that they do not want. It also did not help that the economy was not strong at that time. Some people did not have jobs so crime rate also turned higher. Alcohol became more dangerous to consume. In the end, people decided that it was a failure and lifted the prohibition ban.
