Many people blame Yoko Ono for the break-up of the Beatles. This blame has been happening for years long after the Beatles broke up. Yoko Ono married John Lennon in 1969 when the Beatles were near the height of their music career. However, John Lennon and Yoko Ono came together and were believed that she caused John Lennon to separate from the group.

Many times, when bands get popular with fans and start really making money, the lead singers of the group will usually feel that they are carrying the band and want to separate and go solo. Then they could make more money. This could have been the situation here with the Beatles. However, Lennon’s ideas for peace with Ono could also have caused that problem.

The Beatles break-up was a process that developed over the final years of their career. There were numerous causes for the band’s break-up. It was not one single event, but rather a long transition. Some of the variables that contributed to the separation include the cessation of touring in 1966. The death of the manager, Brian Epstein, in 1967 was also a source of discontent for the band. Conflicts were abundant due to differences in artistic vision.

Both Harrison and Ringo Starr temporarily left the group at various points during 1968 and 1969. All four band members began working on solo projects by 1970 as they realized they were not likely to regroup. Animosity made it impossible to continue working together in the years following. Beyond that point, there were some collaborative efforts among the band members, but never with all four Beatles performing as a group.
