Dependent Variable (DV)is the answer to this question. When you are making experiments or when you are doing research, you will come across Dependent Variable also known as DV quite often. The dependent variable usually relies on the details that can be seen on the independent variable.

This is the variable that you usually measure depending on the changes that you are going to make to the environment. It will show that it has certain effects too. There are some items that cannot be considered dependent such as time because this cannot be controlled. An example of a dependent variable is distance because you can definitely control how far a certain piece of item can travel, and so much more.
