The WWE started out in the 1950’s. It was started by Jess McMahon and Toots Mondt. In the year 1952, it became known as Capitol Wrestling Corporation also known as CWC. It has gone through a lot of changes through the years especially with regards to its name. It became WWWF in the 70’s. it was then shortened to WWF but this acronym was protested over by another organization.

It became well known as WWE or World Wrestling Entertainment. This may be the type of wrestling that a lot of people are familiar with. There are some wrestling fans who are very interested in its history and how it started though.
