This is a tricky question to answer. There are renewable resources that take a while to renew - like trees - and others that can be renewed when the conditions are right - wind, sun, hydroelectric, etc. Power created by sun and wind that is stored can run out, but it can be renewed easily on a sunny day or a windy day, depending.

However, when we don’t replenish trees or give fish or certain animals time to breed to replenish their numbers, we could run out of an otherwise renewable resource. Once there are no more trees or fish or whatever to breed, we run out of that resource, regardless of if it could be renewed with the right conditions. That’s the nature of nature.
