There is much debate about whether cucumber is a fruit or a vegetable. In reality, it is a fruit. This is because it has seeds and is actually grown from the ovaries of plants. The vegetable has many benefits. It is extremely hydrating and has some great anti-cancer properties. As it has a good quantity of phytonutrients, they work as antioxidants. They belong to the squash family.

However, they are often eaten raw and are sometimes pickled. Many people grow them domestically, while others grow them in farms. It is crazy to see them sprouting from the vines that grow sideways from the plant.

It's actually a fruit, with seeds, and grow from ovaries of flowering plants. It's low-calorie with many beneficial properties being a good source of phytonutrients. These are good anti-cancer, anti-oxidant food. Cucumbers are in the squash family and come in many varieties, but basically there are the kind that are eaten raw with salad, and the kind with tougher skins intended to be pickled.

They can be grown domestically, and, like courgettes, it is interesting to see them develop on shoots coming sideways from the plant.
