The Lord of the Flies is a novel written by William Golding. It was made into a movie in 1963 and then later in 1990. It is considered to be an allegorical novel that was published first in 1954 by Faber and Faber. It is about a group of boys who are deserted on an island, and they must survive.
Before long, they are trying to set up a government and provide leadership to all of the boys who now live on the Island. Some boys have stronger personalities than others. The boys must learn to survive on this Island by finding food and water and getting along with each other. The littluns are terrified of and having nightmares about the Beast on the Island.
