Its Monitoring the performance of the service provider. The other components such as tariif chargers, training are important but not as much making sure that- you are getting the services for which you are paying for.

When an organization outsources it IS sources it is important that certain functions are performed by the IS management. Perhaps the most important function of the IS management is monitoring the outsourcing providers performance. This is because in an outsourcing environment the company is dependent on the performance of the outsourcers. They will provide the final product and it relies on them to create the best possible outcome.

However, without constant evaluation and monitoring, it is unlikely that the company will have a product that will benefit them or will abide to their demands. Here the other options are irrelevant. The payment of invoices, for instance, is a finance function.

D. Monitoring the outsourcing provider s performance

The most important function of IS management is to monitor the performance of vendors. In an outsourcing environment, the company is dependent on the performance of the service provider. Therefore, it is critical the outsourcing providers performance be monitored to ensure that services are delivered to the company as required. Training and penalty are the by-products of monitoring activities. Payment of invoices is a finance function, which would be completed per contractual requirements.
