For a ski enthusiast, one would want to ride down if not all, on most of the best ski resorts in the world. Switzerland is on top of this list and one cannot deny the charm of the Swiss Alps. The terrain is perfect for both beginners and thrill seekers and of course, the undeniably breathtaking view of the Alps. Italy also has mountain ranges that are perfect for skiing, especially to newbies and intermediates.

One can also enjoy the beautiful view of the surrounding. For Asian countries, worry not as one does need to go to Europe to ski. Japan has a ski resort that any from the Southeast could be proud and happy of. A ski resort located in Alberta near the US border also has steep and trails perfect for anyone.

If you've got a passion for skiing, you may already have an idea of where your favorite resorts are. If you're new to the sport or if you're looking to expand your horizons and experience new areas, there are plenty of places to look. Starting out, Canada has many popular ski resorts that consistently rank highly amongst avid skiers. Bulgaria is a little less talked about in the skiing world but has many facilities and is relatively inexpensive to visit.

Finally, Finland is another country with great resorts. Finland flies under the radar often because it isn't as mountainous as other destinations. Instead, it offers great opportunities for cross-country skiing with a few mountains to keep things interesting.
