Some countries are safe for foreign citizens to visit, but not for Americans. These countries harbor resentment or conflict toward Americans. Therefore, it is best to avoid them when picking out a vacation spot. Some of these countries include Saudi Arabia. Their culture is very different than ours and also there have been some problems occur that have put a strain on the relationship between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia.
Other places include Afghanistan, Syria and Somalia due to the wars that have been going on in their countries. You should also probably avoid Cuba and Iran due to past strain between the two places. There are so many other places to vacation. It is best to resist these so you won’t get hurt.
For a seasoned traveler, warnings about destinations and countries may seem a bit silly and are usually quickly ignored. However, there are a few warnings that should probably be heeded because due to the violent nature of certain terrorist groups. The first country on the list is Afghanistan, followed by Algeria, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, and Chad.
There are other countries listed for other reasons but each one of these are common in that there has been a lot of terrorist activity as well as kidnappings and bombings. Some of the other reasons different countries are listed are due to gang violence and that it may become difficult to receive help or leave the country should the need arise.
