Durian is a fruit that is grown in Southeast Asia primarily and a few other places near there. It is not grown in many places in the Western hemisphere. It is primarily known for its terrible smell that many people find repulsive. They think it smells disgusting, but others think it has a pleasant odor. It just depends on who you ask.

The fruit is covered with spikes and when you cut it open, it has a yellow color to it. There are at least thirty species of this fruit. People do cook with this fruit even though some find it gross. They may make milkshakes and rice and candy with it because some people taste a sweetness to the fruit.

Durian is a tropical fruit known for its large size and spiky hard outer shell. It has a smelly, custard-like flesh with large seeds. It is most commonly yellow, white, or golden; however, it can also be red or green. This fruit can weigh up to seven pounds. Durian fruit grows in tropical regions around the world, particularly in the southeast Asian countries of Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Both the flesh and seeds are edible. Compared to most fruits, durian is very high in nutrients. It has a high amount of fiber, B vitamins, and Vitamin C. It is also rich in healthy plant compounds, including anthocyanins, carotenoids, polyphenols, and flavonoids.
