This rarely happens but still confirms that parachutes can get stuck in electric wires. What usually causes incidents like this is the inability of the user to properly control the parachute. However, if it eventually happens that you get stuck in electric wires with your parachute, the next thing is to ensure that you don't get electrocuted.

This does not mean you cannot be electrocuted if you get stuck in electric wires, but you may have the luck to survive it. However, it is always best to weigh your options very well for deciding your next line of action when you are in a similar situation like this.

If you sense you might eventually get stuck in electric wires, you may decide to let go of the parachute and have a freefall. This actually depends on the altitude you were when you made the decision. At least, this is better than getting yourself stuck in electric wires.

The correct answer to this question is Yes. Many people may not know this, but a parachute getting stuck into an electrical wave is very common. However, it is not as common as it is reported of parachutes getting into trees. However, many people may familiar with the most recent parachute accident that involved the parachute getting stuck into an electrical wire.

This happened in 2015. An army skydiver got tangled in the wires during a training exercise. This happened in North Carolina and thankfully, he did not get hurt, nor the people who rescued him. During the rescue, the power was cut off for a short amount of time.

A lot of people know that parachutes are going to be crucial especially if they are going to do skydiving. There are also some who would need parachutes when they are traveling for emergency purposes. I don’t think that it is possible to get stuck in electric waves since this will usually be opened in altitudes that are still high and electric waves.

The only time that people may become entwined with electric waves is if they would get stuck by lightning. Yet, it is always more possible for people to get hit by electric waves on the ground because the human body will seem to be more conductive.

Everything is possible. This means that there is always a chance that the parachute can be tangled in electric wires. There are already some instances wherein people using parachutes have gotten stuck in electric wires. If you find yourself about to get stuck in power lines, you need to get rid of the ripcords. You also have to make sure that you will not be electrocuted.

If the height is already low enough for you to jump or to just fall, then you can detach yourself from the parachute. This is better than getting electrocuted. You can find some news about people who have gotten caught in some power lines.

Yes, parachutes can get stuck in electrical wires and it has happened more times than you would probably believe, although it is probably not as common as parachutes getting stuck in trees. I think the most recent publicized incident of a parachute getting stuck in electrical wires may have been in February, 2016.

During a training exercise, an Army skydiver from Fort Bragg, North Carolina got tangled in electrical wires. Luckily neither he nor his fire department rescuers were injured. The local power company, Duke Energy, was also at the scene to shut off the power during the rescue.
