There are a lot of people who were saddened by the death of Martin Luther King although his assassination was somewhat expected. He had a lot of strong words to say to various people. He also started some movements that proved to be successful. His death made a lot of people realize that perhaps, what he is saying is true. Martin Luther King wanted more opportunities to be available to Black Americans.

Even at that time, MLK was fighting for equality but people were still hesitant to fully commit to what he wanted 100%. Since his death, life for Black Americans may have improved. There are still some places wherein racism is evident but there are also some who have managed to embrace people’s differences without any issues.

Martin Luther King Jr was a famous civil rights activist and clergyman who was assassinated at the Lorraine Hotel in Memphis Tennessee on April 4th, 1968. He was assassinated because of his views and participation in the civil rights movement which focused on the slavery of african american people and fought for their freedom.

King had stepped onto the balcony of his hotel room where he was shot. Witnesses saw someone they believe was James Earl Ray running from the scene. Ray went on the run and it took a few months to finally capture him trying to use a fake Canadian passport to escape to Africa or another country.
