If you are anaemic, then you need more iron in your diet. One way to do that is to eat more cereal. However, it should not just be any cereal. Look for cereals that have whole grain in it. These are most likely to have more iron in them. You can also look at the label. When you are in the store, every cereal box has a nutrition label on it.

The nutrition label will have listed the amount of the different vitamins and minerals in them including iron. Not all cereals have the same amount of iron in them. Some have very little whereas others have a lot. General Mills Total is a cereal that has the most iron in it. In one bowl, you can have 100% of what you need in iron for the day.

Post Grape Nuts cereal contains 22.07mg of iron in a cup. Iron is a mineral that the body needs to replenish red blood cells. The cereal boasts 90% of the daily allowance recommended for iron. It is a crunchy baked cereal that comes in many varieties. The cereal was developed in 1897 by C.W. Post.

He was a former patient and later competitor of the 19th-century breakfast food innovator, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg. Despite the name, the cereal does not contain either grapes or nuts. It is made of wheat and barley. It was initially marketed as cereal that would enhance health and vitality. Modern-day Post Grape Nuts has whole grain wheat flour, malted barley flour, salt, and dried yeast as it's ingredients.
