Are terrorists organizations just a resistance to U.S. interference?

Not all terrorists organizations are just a resistance to U.S. interference. For Iraq and Syria, these organizations are trying to reclaim their countries as their own and they do not want the interference of the US. However, some terrorists organizations are not resistors of US interference, example of such is the Boko Haram terrorist organization.

Terrorists and resistors are not the same. Terrorists are out to cause fear and havoc in the people of a particular geographical region but resistors fight to stop the interference of other countries. Example of resistance was the French resistance against Nazi German occupation of France.

We often celebrate the French Resistance, praising those who had the courage to stand-up against those who occupied them. It is no different for Iraqi resistors. They want to reclaim the country as their own. Resistance and terrorism are different.

Terrorism consists of acts carried out in a dramatic way to attract publicity and create an atmosphere of fear. The distinction between actual victims and a target audience is the hallmark of terrorism. Terrorism is a theater where resistance is not. It may perpetrate violence the same way that our military does. It fights for what it believes is the good of it's country. Terrorists are insurgents. Resistors more so take a hard stand.
