About 6 countries do not celebrate International Women's Day. There are: India, Indonesia, Somalia, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Girls in Somalia still go through genital mutilation, most of them go through this process before the age of 10. Iraq is known for how women are treated badly, in fact many believe it's right for a man to beat his wife. Many women are used as slaves and are stoned to death. Iraq, Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Indonesia do not celebrate women's day. International Women's Day is on March 8th. It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
