From the name itself, you can already guess that there are some things that people thought were actual scientific processes and method that turned out to be false. There are some theories about creation that have already been disapproved over the past years. There are some that are still being studied in order to get a rational explanation.

For example, there are some people who would like to know more about crop circles. There are still some things that are being done in order to prove if the first theory is correct. There are still other theories that are ongoing about the paranormal too such as levitation and psychokinesis.

Your dictionary.com defines pseudoscience as “beliefs, theories, or practices that have been or are considered scientific, but have no basis in scientific fact. This could mean they were disproved scientifically, can’t be tested or lack evidence to support them.” There are many examples of pseudoscience and you can find them in a variety of many different areas.

Here are just a few - some people believe you can tell a person’s personality by their handwriting. Others believe that the position of celestial bodies affect a person (astrology) or that there is a relationship between certain numbers and people or events (numerology).
