There was a time when people thought that panda bears may be more closely related to the raccoon probably because of their appearance. Through the researches that are done by professionals, they have finalized that panda bears are closer to bears. There are different bear species that are available and these bear species can be found in various places of the world. Pandas are known to be cute.

In fact, some people consider Pandas to be their favorite animal. Take note that the population of Pandas has declined over the past years. It is best if people would pay more attention to taking care of nature so that Pandas will be able to live comfortably in the years to come.

Yes pandas are a species of bear. For a while, some scientists thought Panda bears could have been related to Racoons because of their similarites in looks. As time went on, scientists used DNA from the giant panda to determine that the giant panda is closer related to the bear than the racoon.

Pandas are only found in the remote moutains, mountanious regions of central China, in Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces, according to the national zoo. In this area, there are cool, wet, bamboo forests that are perfect for the Panda bears's needs.
