There are many shapes out there in the world. Some of these shapes have a distinct form to the shape, and therefore, it has a name. However, there are so many random shapes out there that they do not have a name associated with them. We learn these different shapes while in preschool and kindergarten. Then when we get older, we learn about other ways too.
We learn in high school how to measure and compare shapes in geometry class. Some of these shapes include squares, circles, triangles, pentagons, and octagons. Rings have no sides, whereas triangles have three sides. Squares have four sides, and pentagons have five teams. However, octagons have the most sides with eight sides. Stop signs are shaped as octagons.
