Usually, there are certain things in this word that make people happy. Whenever I think of Santa Claus, I believe that he is happy and jovial. He is jovial due to the way he is merry. He has a round belly. He also is dressed in red and always has a big smile on his face. Since he is known for his red rosy cheeks and his big chuckle, jovial seems to be the best word that describes him.

Also, it is known that Santa Claus is known to be associated with Christmas. Therefore, merry relates to Christmas, and it means jovial. If anything is jovial, then it is a good thing, and you should be apart of it. It would make you merry too.
