The answer to this question is liters (l) or milliliters (ml). Ml is normally used to show the value of the liquid that is in small quantities. There are some experiments that would only require a little bit of Mercury so that it can work properly. There are instances when liters of Mercury may be needed.

The liter will signify that a large amount of liquid is needed in order to push through and complete the experiment. The abbreviation ml is usually pronounced as ML, with the two letters being pronounced separately. Take note that ml is not the same with mil, which stands for milliliter.

There could be two correct answers to this question. The first is L, which stands for liters. It is a unit to measure volume. One liter is equivalent to one cubic decimetre. It is also equivalent to 1.0567 quarts. The second possible correct answer is ML, which stands for milliliters. Like liters, a milliliter is a measurement of volume.

One milliliter is equivalent to one-thousandth of a liter. It is so small, it wouldn't be enough to fill up a spoon or quench a thirst. This type of question would most likely be found on a science test, where units of measurements are taught.
