What were the Israelites known for that made them unique among ancient peoples?

A is the answer to this question. There are different things that were different before as compared to how people are right now. There was a time when people would have different gods and even goddesses that they serve. They will provide a lot of sacrifices for these gods and goddesses.

As time went on, it became apparent that the Israelites were different from the rest. They were the chosen race and they were saved from the Egyptians who enslaved them. It says that they were brought to the promised land but not all of their prophets were able to reach the land that was promised to the Israelites.
