If you are a grandparent today, you may have heard Booker T & the MG's. They were a very popular group during the 1960's. Your grandchild probably is never heard of this group or probably their music. Pure the music on your radio the grandparent may be able to identify that it came from this group.

However, grandchildren probably couldn't nor have they ever heard of this group. The group consisted of Booker T Jones who played the organ or piano, Lewie Steinberg who played bass, Al Jackson junior who played drums and Steve Cropper who played the guitar. The different thing about this group is that they did not sing because it was instrumental. They were an R&B group.
