The correct answer to this question is D, The steppes of Russia. Prairies are ecoregions of geography. They can be found in the montane and temperate grasslands, shrublands, and savannas. Steppes are known for being grasslands without many trees, though there are trees that can be found near rivers and lakes.

An example of the steppe are prairies found in North America. Areas of steep have extreme climates. During the summer, the heat can rise to a temperate of 113 degrees, while in the winter, it can drop to 67 degrees below. There are two types of Steepes, which are mild and subtropical.
