Should we already be concerned about the safety of upcoming generations (if not, why)?

I believe that all generations worry about the upcoming generations in regards to different issues that the current generations fear the upcoming generations may face. Some of these issues include safety, environment, and agriculture. Safety can come in the form of crime and, sometimes it can come in the form of being healthy and safe from pollution and lack of natural resources. Some people think that we should not be concerned with issues like these because they do not affect us now.

However, we should be concerned with upcoming generations because they deserve a healthy atmosphere and environment just like we have it. At the rate that it is going, the upcoming generations will suffer from heavier pollution in the rivers and air.
