There was probably some influence in the 2016 presidential election in the United States by the Ku Klux Klan, but it was probably both positive and negative. At one point, the KKK published their own newspaper and it stated that they supported Trump for president. This may cause those that support the KKK to support Donald Trump for president.

However, the KKK’s support could also cause those who were going to support Trump to now vote for another candidate for the presidential office due to the fact that they hate the KKK and are totally against what they stand for. These people would not want to be associated with this group of people and therefore would not vote for someone who they are voting for.
