I think that everyone’s biggest nightmare while driving is for their brakes to fail. However, this does not happen very often. If you find that your brakes are failing it may be because there is something wrong with the brakes. Usually people do not feel their brakes failing because they have usually stopped working completely. So if your brakes failed completely, you may want it to come to a stop as soon as possible.

You can only do this if you are on a long stretch of highway with very few cars around. If your brakes failed and there's a lot of traffic, then you will need to use your emergency brake. Gently pull up on the emergency brake until the car comes to a stop.
