Yes, I think the Pope is the most influential religious leader. One reason I believe this is because he serves as the spiritual leader for one-six of the world’s population. The current Pope, Jorge Bergoglio, who chose the name Francis, is the 266th pope of the Roman Catholic Church. Over time there have been good and bad popes. I think Pope Francis will go down in history as one of the best popes ever.

In 2013 he was chosen as Time magazine’s Person of the year “for pulling the papacy out of the palace and into the streets, for committing the world's largest church to confronting its deepest needs, and for balancing judgment with mercy."
