It’s not entirely clear to my why Mark Zuckerberg does not have a verified Twitter account. And to be honest, I’m not sure whether he does or does not. I understand you can tell if someone has a verified account by looking for a blue check mark on Twitter’s bio page. I don’t use Twitter so I can’t personally find out. However, some people speculate it is because he is not an active Twitter user. He has apparently only tweeted nineteen times since 2009, the last tweet being on January 12, 2012.
Others speculate it is because Zuckerberg would prefer to use his own social media platform, Facebook, rather than give any additional credit/traffic to Twitter. Still others say Twitter won’t verify his account because he has not verified Twitter’s Facebook account. I suspect only Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter know for sure.
