Meditation is part of Yoga. Pada Padmasana is the best one for meditation in my experience. My master has advised me to use this pose towards the end.

The prime difference between yoga and meditation is that meditation is a part of yoga and not the other way round. Yoga is more like a way of life, or a lifestyle which revolves around improving mental health, physical health, and concentration. The meditation aspect of yoga comes in where mental health and mindfulness is involved.

Apart from that yoga involves various different posture exercises along with a definite routine involving specific eating habits, specific sleeping habits, and a total lifestyle of its own. Hence, one should not confuse between meditation and yoga as meditation is a part of yoga.
