The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, has given only a very small number of interviews so it is hard to know if he really does do all the drugs he says he does in his music. However in one interview he admits to using “Ketamine, cocaine, MDMA, mushrooms and cough syrup”. He also says he goes back to drugs even now when he has trouble coming up with new lyrics. I suspect he has done a lot of drugs.
Supposedly he started smoking marijuana at age eleven before moving on to other drugs like the ones mentioned above. He also admits he never had to go to a detox facility but there were many days he didn’t want to spend without getting high.
