Musicians and directors may reference certain cities in their songs and movies from time to time. This is because they may have grown up in that city or that city has made an impression on them. They do this as a tribute to the city that has made a lasting impact on them for one reason or another. Drake has made many references in his music about Houston. Some would expect that either Drake was born or grew up in Houston, but that is not true.

Drake considers Houston his home away from home. He enjoys going to this city and has mentioned specific things that he likes about Houston. These include the vacations that he has taken there and the strippers in Houston.
