There are a lot of people who may assume in the beginning that the CIA and the FBI are the same. They are not. FBI stands for Federal Bureau of Investigation. Based on the name, you can already guess what they do. They usually investigate various crimes that have occurred in various parts of America.

There are a lot of people who may assume in the beginning that the CIA and the FBI are the same.
Usually, when they are called in, this already means that the case is considered to be major and cannot be solved by their local jurisdiction anymore. The CIA stands for Central Intelligence Agency. This is considered to be stronger and far more superior than the FBI probably because the things that they do in the CIA are considered to be very top secret and should not get out.

It seems like the CIA has more power than the FBI since they perform their functions throughout the world in order to protect the United States. The FBI may deal with terrorists and their lives are at stake. However, the CIA must use intelligence to prevent problems from happening. Sometimes, the CIA will send spies out into the world to gather this information.

They're both different and have different powers. They both work internationally but in different ways. The FBI is law enforcement, so they have any power that comes with it, such as arresting somebody with a warrant. They're also issued guns; I don't know which exact model, but they all get a handgun, a shotgun, and I think an assault rifle. Most never use the gun or rifle. The CIA, however, is at its core, an intelligence agency. They are the people who watch versus the people who do. They cannot arrest people, and not can they be armed unless they're in dangerous areas. So an officer in Germany won't have a weapon, but one in China will.

So in total, the CIA will only report upon something, while the FBI will act upon it. It's not who is more important or more powerful; they have different roles that cannot be measured. It's like asking who's better, a pro wrestler who can snap your neck in an instant, or an anatomist who knows all the pressure points and secrets of the body.

The answer to this question actually depends so much on the various yardsticks you are using to measure their power. Both agencies have different advantages over each other. FBI, apart from being a security agency, it is also a federal law enforcement agency, while the CIA does not have any law backing it to enforce the law in the united state.

The answer to this question actually depends so much on the various yardsticks you are using to
CIA is saddled with the responsibility to gather, process, and analyze information regarding national security from different parts of the world. If we want to measure how powerful the two agencies are in relation to their activities within the United States of America, the FBI will have the upper hand, plus they have more officers than the CIA.

However, the CIA is more powerful than the FBI if the comparison should be based on how efficient they are in gathering intelligence from all around the world. The CIA is more powerful in dealing with security matters with other nations, whereas the FBI does not function this way.
