Why is America known as the "Nation of Immigrants"?

America is known as the “Nation of Immigrants” because of the many different people who make up America. Immigrants have been coming to the United States when America was first discovered. Due to religious persecution, revolutions and famine, people from Europe, Asia and other continents were coming to the United States to live.

Today, American is still known as the Nation of Immigrants. People are moving to the United States from Mexico, Canada, European countries and other countries for various reasons. Mainly, people see the United States as a land of opportunity. America has many jobs and people come to the United States due to the American dream. They see this as a place to get a job and raise a family safely.
