It seems like lately there have been more police shootings in America especially towards unarmed people. First, there seems to be less respect for authority. When a person encounters a police officer, they seem to less likely respond to the police officer’s request. When the police do not know if the person is going to brandish a weapon and start firing, more police get to shooting more quickly.

Also, there have always been significant police shootings in America. It is just in the past five to ten years that these shootings have been more publicly discussed and displayed on the news. The news channels have been reporting more and more about these police shootings than they have been in the past.
