There are five oceans in the world. They are the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Southern and Arctic Ocean. The ocean floor has been analyzed by scientists who study the oceans. Depending on the location of the ocean floor, depends on what you will see. Similar to the land on earth that is not under water, there are many landforms on the seabed or ocean floor.

These include ridges, plains and mountains, to name a few. Specifically, there are trenches where some are deep and some aren’t. The deepest trench is located in the Pacific Ocean. It is called the Marianina Trench. In addition to this, there are also slopes and shelves. These are more common landforms seen along the ocean floor.
