Shinzo Abe is now considered to be one the longest-serving prime minister of Japan. If he would still be in the office by November of the year 2019, he would be the longest-serving prime minister. He feels that this is his milestone as a post-WWII leader. One of the reasons why he may be popular among people is because he wanted to make sure that the country’s economy will improve for the better.

Abe is also known for being very particular about the foreign policies that are in place. This may have caused some issues with other countries over the past years, but this is said to improve the economy of Japan as a whole. He has very particular views about the wartime past of Japan, which has made it harder for Korea and China to deal with him. This may have affected the trades of these countries.

Abe has done many great things during his time as prime minister. Some of these things took place during his first term as prime minister in 2006. One thing he did back then was to balance the budget of Japan. He began negotiating with North Korea after North Korea began kidnapping Japanese citizens.
