The establishment of computer science in the United States isn't only about coding; it's about problem-solving, and creativity. The analyzing of medical data to promote the creation of more effective treatments and designing artificial limbs to the impact of upcoming severe weather involves computer science. Computer science has created a plethora of new jobs in the United States.

These skills are in great demand, and the US has fewer workers than are necessary. Labor statistics show that half of the jobs by the year 2020 will be in computing. Also, all medical fields will need to have people with proficient computational skills. There is an effort in the making to ensure that computer science becomes available in schools.

Computer science has given a lot to our world. Due to computer science, information is now easily available to anyone with a decent computer and internet connection. You can look up phone numbers, do research on what college to go to, look up a new recipe, or even connect with friends. However, there have been so many things given to our world thanks to computer science that it’s hard to even start a comprehensive list.

One of the biggest contributions to our world from computer science has been the use of DNA in solving crimes. DNA matching is one of the few forensic sciences that is almost fool-proof. (Mistakes do happen in any science field), but it wouldn’t have been possible without high powered computers.

Computer science has allowed people to not only acquire information at a faster rate, but also to have access to the information at all. In the early 1900s, for example, detectives and marshalls had to rely on average citizens and posters to catch wanted men.

However, today, there are cameras that are installed and databases that can be used constantly to see where a criminal is hiding and that is due to the increase in technology involving computer science. There are many other contributions that computer science has given to our world and will most likely continue to make our lives easier.
