Most times we usually use zero and nothing interchangeably because we do not know the right one to use.

Zero is a numerical value which comes before 1. This numerical digit plays an important role in mathematics and also science as a whole. It helps with identification of numbers and also comes behind numbers to increase their value by giving them new identification.

Zero can also be used in several system like Decimal, Boolean and also in binary system.
Nothing on the other hand refers to something that is non existent, absence of something, or void. It don’t have beginning or end (absence of anything begin unmeasurable).

Lastly, the major difference between zero and nothing is that zero has a value (0) and nothing is not represented with a value.
