Primigravida refers to a pregnant woman who is pregnant with her first child. During any pregnancy, many women will have aches and pains due to the strain the pregnancy puts onto her back and legs. Many times these pregnant women who are pregnant for the first time will not know what to do to relieve the pain that they feel.

If a pregnant woman goes to the clinic to ask for a professional’s opinion on what to do, the nurse may tell the client to do tailor sitting. The woman may need to be later in her pregnancy since usually this is when back pains occur especially lower back pains. This would help if she worked most of the day.

Tailor sitting

Tailor sitting is an excellent exercise that helps to strengthen the clients back muscles and also prepares the client for the process of labor. The client should be encouraged to rest periodically during the day and avoid standing or sitting in one position for a long time.
